A complete commercial office transformation in Eden Terrace that turned a dated workspace into a modern, light-filled environment with thoughtful collaborative spaces.
The Brief
Craig, Geoff + Mike came to us with an interesting challenge. We'd previously renovated their homes, and when they decided to consolidate two separate business locations into one commercial space in Eden Terrace, they wanted us to handle the transformation.
They needed the fitout completed before their planned relocation date so they could move straight in without disruption to their business.
The Challenge
The property was a typical dated commercial space that needed a complete overhaul to become the kind of workplace a modern team would actually want to spend their days in.
The tight timeframe was the real test – coordinating trades, managing disruptions, and keeping everything on schedule while delivering the quality fitout they were after.
The Design
A fresh, contemporary look that balances professionalism with personality – most of which came from Mike's direction.
The soft sage-blue cabinetry in the kitchen area creates a calming focal point, while polished concrete floors throughout give the space an industrial-modern edge.
The layout includes a fully equipped kitchen with a massive island bench, multiple breakout areas for collaboration, private meeting rooms with frosted glass partitions, and an open-plan workspace that feels light and airy thanks to clever use of light.
The exposed timber ceiling in some areas adds warmth and texture, contrasting nicely with the clean lines and minimalist aesthetic elsewhere.
The Result
What was once a tired commercial space is now a vibrant, functional workplace that the team actually enjoys being in.
The mix of collaborative spaces and quiet meeting rooms means there's flexibility for different working styles, while the modern kitchen and breakout areas encourage those important informal conversations that happen over coffee.
It's a bit different from our usual residential work, but the same principles apply – creating spaces where people want to spend their time, whether that's at home or in the office.
