From initial consultation to final walk-through, we keep you in the loop every step of the way, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure your project is a success

Discovery Call

When you talk with us in our discovery call, we start by assessing the scope of the project. We’ll cover some of the basics of what you are trying to achieve and determine if we are the right fit to achieve what you need.

Site Visit

Following our phone consultation, we will arrange to meet you at the project site. We’ll go through any questions you have about the project, take the time to identify key constraints and explore opportunities to best achieve your goals.

Preliminary Agreement

After the site visit, we are able to determine the next best steps. These will include how to approach design, costings and delivery timeframes. At this point, you will be engaging us to deliver a fully costed design, which we will review and refine together. In this process, we will engage an independent quantity surveyor to verify cost of build. If you already have a consented set of plans from your architect, we will work with you to produce a fully costed project.

Pre-Construction Project Review

Once we have the design and costings, we will review them with you to ensure the project is within your target constraints. These usually involve cost and delivery time. If there are any areas of concern, we'll address them. Often there are a number of levers that can be pulled to ensure the project meets your expectations.

Signing Building Agreement

Once the scope of the project is finalised, we will then sign a building contract. We’ll agree on a fixed price and delivery date. Then it’s on us to deliver as promised.

Construction Phase

During construction, it can be an anxious time for you as a client. You're excited to be underway, but the fear of the unknown can add a level of apprehension (especially when it comes to complicated renovations). It’s our job to keep you up to date with progress. If any issues arise during the construction phase, we’ll always come to the table with solutions. This is our time to show you we are building professionals.

Handover

Upon completion of the project, we will hand over the keys to your new home. In addition, we’ll provide you with all the necessary warranty information and routine care tasks to ensure you get the most out of your home for many years to come.

One-Year Follow-up

While we are always on hand to address any issues or concerns that may arise, we schedule a one-year follow-up with you to ensure everything is performing as expected.

10 Year Relationship

We are confident our craftsmen complete all work to the highest possible standard. However, for your peace of mind, we provide a 10-year warranty on our work. So rest assured you will have confidence that you are in good hands for many years to come. Because we are NZCB members we can also offer a 10-Year Halo Warranty for extra peace of mind.
